middle of nowhere

step upon steppes

shelves of great gasping grass

humps of sunflower and honey

enough land for each man

to pace out his own demise

and never cross his neighbor

there's no hiding here

prairie hawk will pick your bones

before next-of-kin knows

i finally arrived at where I been heading

all my life never to be found

smack dab in the middle of nowhere
